Censorship threatens our livelihoods more and more each day, especially within our engagement with digital technology. Political institutions and powerful figures are employing censorship techniques, controlling public access to media and spreading misinformation across technology and social media platforms to fulfil certain aims to influence societies knowledge and actions that ultimately limits freedom. With the current digital age causing widespread trust and reliance on social media platforms and technology to deliver news and information, society is more susceptible to misinformation and censorship than ever and this is being exploited by those in power causing unethical power relations and an increase in extremist viewpoints that threaten daily lives of society. We no longer have the human right to access all news and information that is truthful when society and culture is being formed on lies. This needs to be addressed.

The Global Truth Movement intend to utilise the features that social media platforms still offer to reach wide audiences in order to educate and inform as many people as possible about the threat we are facing in this new age of censorship and misinformation. Through infinitely connecting and educating people through social media we can call to action a powerful movement to oppose the rising threat and battle against dictatorial power. We aim to support freedom for all people across the world with the ability to access all truthful information and entertainment alongside the freedom to express ourselves in any way. Through petitions, hashtags, posts, collective movements, both online and offline protests that you can be a part of, we can work together to address the rising concerns of dictatorships gaining ultimate political power over our freedom and access to information.
